The Royal National Hotel, London. WC1H 0DG

The Venue

  • This is the second time we’ve hosted an event at the Royal National Hotel, and we have to say — it’s a stylish, reliable venue that delivers excellent value for money in a very central location.
  • The hotel has recently undergone a full renovation by Imperial London Hotels, and the difference really shows. The foyer, bars, restaurants, and events spaces have all been modernised to a high standard, and the place has a genuine energy to it making it an excellent place to experience a business conference.
  • If you decide to stay at the venue, what really stands out is the value. It’s worth knowing that the rooms themselves are fairly basic. This isn’t a five-star experience — but that’s not why you choose this hotel. What you get is a straightforward, well-located base with decent facilities, at an excellent price that makes sense.
  • The parking is another big plus. For central London, it’s almost unheard of: £20 for the entire day is what we paid by booking in advance. At our last event in the West End, we were paying up to £70 for the same privilege.
  • As mentioned, we've run one event here already, and it worked exactly as we hoped it would: plenty of meeting space, easy access for attendees, and a relaxed, practical environment for proper business conversations.

Directions

  • The Royal National Hotel is located at 38–51 Bedford Way, London WC1H 0DG, right in the heart of Bloomsbury. It’s one of the most accessible large conference hotels in central London — with excellent public transport links and practical parking options right on site.
  • Nearest Tube Stations:
The closest underground station is Russell Square tube station (2 minutes’ walk) on the Piccadilly Line. Exit onto Bernard Street, cross the road, and walk straight down Bedford Way — the hotel entrance is directly ahead. Euston tube station is 6–8 minutes away, and both King’s Cross St. Pancras tube station and Holborn tube station are within a 10-minute walk.
  • Nearest Overground & Mainline Stations:
London Euston station is just 8 minutes away on foot. From the main entrance, head south on Upper Woburn Place, turn left at Russell Square, and you’ll see Bedford Way straight ahead. London King's Cross station and London St Pancras International station are also close — around 10–12 minutes on foot.
  • Parking:
  • Pod Point rapid EV chargers are available on-site for electric vehicles
  • Disabled parking spaces are also available.
  • The car park is open to both hotel guests and the public, with no need to book through a third-party operator.

Tariffs (less if you book in advance):

  • Up to 2 hours – £8
  • 3 hours – £12
  • 4 hours – £14
  • 10 hours – £19
  • 12 hours – £21
  • 24 hours – £24

  • Advance bookings can be made directly via yourparkingspace.co.uk.

  • Driving In:
If you’re coming in by car, the cleanest access is from Woburn Place heading south, then turning left directly into the car park entrance beneath the hotel. Bedford Way is part of a one-way system, so this route avoids unnecessary loops. Approaching from Euston Road or the A40 (west), A201 (south), or A501 provides the most direct entry.

Discounts & Different Overnight Options

Discounts & Different Overnight Options

  • If you don't know London that well, and you prefer to stay just outside the centre, there are several neighbourhoods that offer excellent value without compromising on atmosphere or convenience. Areas like Victoria Park, Highbury & Islington, or Crouch End and Haringey give you a more local London feel — often with better nightly rates than Bloomsbury — while keeping your travel time to the Royal National Hotel to around 20 minutes or less on the Tube or Overground.
  • These areas are well served by the Piccadilly, Victoria and Overground lines, making it easy to travel in for the event and return at the end of the day without the cost of a central hotel. You’ll find everything from independent guest houses and boutique hotels to modern serviced apartments and well-rated Airbnbs.
